Armando Hernandez, Sr., a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Sundance Inn at the age of 56. Armando was born on August 14, 1957 in New Braunfels to Gilberto Hernandez and Santos Campos. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Tony Hernandez. Survivors include his son, Armando Hernandez, Jr. and wife, Amber; daughters, Sheenae Hernandez-Garcia and husband, Michael and Brianna Hernandez; brothers, Ray, Juan and Fernando Hernandez; sisters, Elvia Eureste and Regina Martinez; grandchildren, Cailin and Harper Hernandez and soon to be Gannon Garcia. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Monday, July 28, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1390 Hanz Rd. in New Braunfels. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Although we left New Braunfels several years ago, whenever we ran into Mando, he greeted us with a smile and treated us as life-long friends.
