Arnaldo Nando Gomez

Arnaldo "Nando" Gomez, a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Navasota, TX at the age of 57. Nando was born on December 22, 1954 in New Braunfels to Anastacio Gomez, Sr. and Herminia Aleman Gomez. During his working career, Nando was employed as a construction worker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a brother, Anastacio "Flaco" Gomez, Jr. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Gomez Reyes and husband, Refugio Reyes, Jr.; son, Aaron Arnaldo Gomez; grandchildren, Arnaldo Christian Reyes, Elysia Celine Reyes and Molly Amelina Reyes; brothers, Xavier Gomez, Ricardo Gomez and wife, Darlene R. Gomez, Rodolfo Cipriano Gomez and Hugo A. Villegas; sisters, Sandra Gomez and Jackie Valdez Gutierrez. In addition, he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary scheduled for 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 AM. Please note: there will not be a procession from the funeral home to Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday morning. All wishing to attend both the visitation and Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning are asked to meet at the church at 9:00 AM. All services will end at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass.
