Aurelia D. Villarreal

Aurelia “ChaCha” Villarreal, a lifelong resident of New Braunfels, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2026, at the age of 68.

Born in New Braunfels on June 11, 1957, ChaCha grew up in the local community she loved. On March 27, 1976, she married the love of her life, Raymond Villarreal Sr., and together they built a beautiful life and family. ChaCha brought joy and vibrant energy wherever she went. She treasured going out to eat with her sisters and was always the life of the party, never wanting to miss a celebration. She was also a dedicated member of the Iglesia Bethel Church in New Braunfels. ChaCha was incredibly strong in her faith; through all her health issues, she remained steadfast in her belief that God would either heal her or take her home.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raymond Villarreal Sr.; her parents, Dionicio and Cruz Torres; and her brothers, Dionicio Jr., Ernesto, David, and Rogelio Torres; and her sister-in-law Mary Torres.

Her legacy lives on through her survivors: her three sons, Raymond Villarreal Jr., Robert Villarreal, and Randy Villarreal; and her three cherished grandchildren, Alexis Nicole Villarreal, Austin Villarreal, and Chelsea Villarreal. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Torres; her sisters, Maria Rosales and husband Anselmo of Plano, TX, and Emma Sassenhagen and husband Joe, Lucy Villarreal and husband Pete, and Angelita Garcia and husband Roy Sr. all of New Braunfels, TX; sister-in-law Rosa Torres of Grand Prairie, TX, Lupe Torres, Sofia Torres and Dora Torres of New Braunfels, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a viewing on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 6:30 PM at Lux Funeral Home, followed immediately by a prayer service at 6:30 PM officiated by Pastor Joe Gonzales. A funeral service will be held the following morning, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM, also at Lux Funeral Home. She will be laid to her final rest at Santo Tomas Cemetery.

Honoring ChaCha as pallbearers are Roy Garcia Jr., Noah Casarez, Eddie Torres, Anthony Villarreal, David Torres Jr., and Amos Rosales.
