Born in: Houston, TX
Resided in: New Braunfels, TX

Billie Sue (Winfield) Schott was born May 9, 1944, to George Thomas and Johnnie Sue Winfield. She grew up in the historic Heights neighborhood in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1962 and was a proud member of the Reagan Redcoats. Billie married Gordon Schott of Humble, Texas in 1964 and they had 5 children together. Besides being a full-time mom, Billie was a long-time employee in Cy-Fair ISD, a dance instructor and an office manager.
Billie enjoyed spending time at the Frio River and the blue waters of Destin, Florida. She loved starting her day with a devotional, add to that cooking, camping, dancing, and watching her Houston Astros. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. If she was able, she would be found in the stands watching the kids in all their activities. Billie was a loyal friend to many and never met a stranger. She was loving, sassy, feisty and a fighter. She could light up a room with just a smile.
She was a devout Christian and Psalms 23 was her favorite passage. She grew up as a member of Garden Oaks Church of Christ in Houston and visited the Church of Christ in New Braunfels often. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is in her perfect Heavenly body and rejoicing with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Billie is survived by her sister, Peggy Winfield Northcutt; former husband, Gordon Schott, her five kids: Greg Schott and wife Denise, Kelly Martin and husband Mike, Sharla Flores and husband Paul, Stephen Schott and wife Casie, Joel Schott and wife Kerri, and eleven grandkids and two great grandkids. A “Celebration of Life” will be held on February 10th, 1-4 at the Hidden Gem in Gruene, TX. Her children request attendees wear fun and joyful colors to the Celebration to honor Billie’s infectious personality.
