Born in: San Antonio, TX
Resided in: New Braunfels, TX

Caleb Michael Long was born July 7th, 2006 to his adoring parents Jenna Long and Chris Long and his big brother Cameron Jacob Long. At the age of 18, he left this world much too soon on November 14, 2024. He leaves behind his mother and father to cherish his sweet memory. Caleb is reunited with his beloved big brother Cam, his Papa Clifford Lynn Griffin, and great-grandparents Richard Long and Jacqueline Long, and Mathew and Irene Friesenhahn.

Caleb is survived by his grandparents John and Veronica Long of Spring Branch, Kathy Griffin of Spring Branch; aunts, and uncles Jurguen and Jennifer Abrego of New Braunfels, Travis Long of Schertz, Anthony Kosub of La Vernia and Erin Kosub of New Braunfels; Cousins Peyton, Isabela and Gavin Abrego of New Braunfels and Carson Kosub of La Vernia; and many life-long friends including Paul and Preston, whom Caleb loved as brothers.

Caleb graduated from Canyon High School in May of 2024. He was a dedicated employee at Stout’s Pizza Co, in New Braunfels TX. Growing up, Caleb was an avid soccer player, and later played trumpet in his high school band. Other hobbies included playing basketball, fishing, video games and just enjoying life while spending quality time with family and friends. He was passionate about everything he did, and fiercely protective of his loved ones. Caleb was loyal to a fault, had a witty sense of humor, a laugh that would put a smile on anyone’s face, and always stood up for what he believed in. He will forever be remembered for the love and compassion he showed to his family, friends, and everyone he encountered. Much like his brother, he was good at everything he did, as his friends and family would attest.

To know this sweet boy was to love him and his absence in this world will be mourned by them all. “Jesus replied, “You don’t understand what I’m doing now, but you will understand later” (John 13:7). We do not understand why you left us so soon Caleb, but we trust that one day we will.

In lieu of a funeral, a celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, January 5th, 2025 at Blue Bonnet Palace, 17630 Lookout Rd., Selma TX 78154 from 1-4pm.
