Carroll James "C.J." Bolting. February 19, 1943 - April 30, 2015. Resident of New Braunfels, Texas. After a courageous battle with cancer, C.J. fell asleep surrounded by his family and woke in the arms of his Lord. C.J. was born and raised in Nordheim, was a 1961 alum of Nordheim High School, raised his family in Victoria, and retired in New Braunfels after concluding his 38 year tenure with CP&L/AEP. He was the youngest of 5 children born to the late Otto and Alice Bolting and was the beloved husband of Gladys Haak Bolting for over 50 years. C.J. will forever be remembered by his devoted wife, Gladys; loving children Brett and Nancy Bolting, Todd and Amy Bolting, and Charlie and Holly Spear; treasured grandchildren Paige, Ashlyn, and Addison Bolting and Jackson Spear; beloved siblings Georgia Guzy, O.F. Bolting, and John Bolting as well as countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. C.J. loved traveling with Gladys, carpentry and woodworking, laughing, joking with family and friends, and spending time with all those he loved. C.J. touched the lives of many with his warm-heart, quick wit, and generosity and he maintained his easy smile all the way until the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, May 16th, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 E. Common St., New Braunfels, 78130.
