Christopher Anthony Pace
December 30, 1958 ~ December 3, 2015
Christopher Anthony Pace, age 56, joined the Lord, God Almighty, in heaven on Thursday, December 3, 2015. Chris and his family were long term residents of Plano, Texas, where he worked for EDS and raised his three children. More recently, Christopher was a resident of Spring Branch, Texas, where he did contract computer work, played golf, and attended church.
Born December 30, 1958 in Los Angeles, California, Chris moved with his family in 1965 to the South Belt area of Houston, Texas.
As a young man, Chris was the consummate competitor and a talented athlete who excelled in playing baseball and football, as well as running track. Off the field, he was a dedicated and extremely gifted student who graduated second in his class at Dobie High School and received the Jesse H. Jones scholarship. Chris went on to attend Rice University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 1981 after completing a double major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Chris was his own person, a unique individual to say the least, whose life had meaning and was full of purpose. He was knowledgeable about many subjects, and always jumped at the opportunity to teach whoever would listen. Chris also had an amazing talent for being able to read about anything mechanical, technical, legal, etc., and then talk about it as a subject matter expert, or do whatever it was as if he had done it a thousand times before.
It was because of this talent, that Chris was always feeling inspired to try something new. This in turn gave him the opportunity to become a successful basketball coach for both of his sons, a fly fisherman, an avid golfer (placing in recent tournaments), a competitive road cyclist, a home architect, an auto mechanic, a lawn care specialist, and a lover of eating ice-cream while playing video games. Chris learned how to build and repair a tremendous number of things and was an excellent handy man to have around the house. Chris even learned much of what it takes to be a master electrician, plumber, and carpenter while doing work for friends and family. He also enjoyed motorcycling for pleasure and placed in moto-cross competitions as a teenager in the Astrodome.
Chris' thirst for knowledge and "can learn how to do anything" attitude, led him to become the computer "guru", a one man, one stop shop to fix any and all things computer related. While he charged a little more than everyone else, Chris backed up the added cost by telling his customers that he would have everything fixed right the first time, so that they wouldn't have to call him back and they didn't.
In regards to his faith, Chris was "born again" on March 24, 2013, when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, and was baptized in the waters of the Guadalupe river. He studied the Bible, was a leader in the United Methodist Men's group, and was a truly loving, giving, and peaceful spirit.
Chris is survived by his mother Gloria Pace; Ronald Barnes; sons Lee and Alden Pace; daughter Sarah Pace; brothers Ronald, Theodore, John, and Thomas Pace; former spouse and mother of his children Patricia Pace; longtime companion Stephanie Wilkinson and her two sons, Micah and Caleb; as well as many nieces and nephews. Chris is predeceased by Walter Pace, his father.
A memorial service will be held on Friday December 11, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the North Shore United Methodist Church, 23880 N. Cranes Mill Road, Canyon Lake, Texas 78133. There will be no graveside services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in the name of Christopher Pace to North Shore United Methodist Church 23880 N. Cranes Mill Road, Canyon Lake, Texas 78133.

Chris, you and I graduated from high school together. As I recall you were number 1, I was 498. You were wicked smart and a good guy. Bless you and the life you lived.
Chris was my dear friend since our days together at Rice University. We were roommates in our senior year, he was the best man at my wedding, and we shared many incredible times and conversations over the years. This painful loss on earth is a joyous gain in heaven, as Chris knew His Lord in a personal way. My prayer is for that same Lord to provide comfort, guidance, and grace to Chris’ family and friends during this time of grief.
I am so saddened to hear of Chris’s passing. We played football together in High School. Prayers to his family and friends.
Chris was a very good friend growing up in Sagemont. We were best friends in high school and was always doing something together from playing football, baseball, track or just going to the movies. I am very saddened to hear of Chris passing away but I know god has better plan for Chris and sometime we will all meet again in heaven.
I knew Chris, he was a great person and is a kindred spirit now.. He sold me my Toyota Corolla, my first real car. Chris also fixed my sisters computer. He was a brilliant mind. Condolences and respects. . .
