Clanton Rylander, Jr.

Clanton Rylander, Jr., a resident of Canyon Lake, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at his residence at the age of 98. Clanton was born on October 1, 1916 in Goliad, TX to Clanton Rylander, Sr. and Blanche Eubank Rylander. He graduated from Rice University in chemical engineering, and worked for Sinclair Oil Refinery in Pasadena, TX, and later Atlantic Richfield Refinery in New York and California. Survivors include his loving wife, Marian A. Rylander; his daughters (with Lillian Woodring Rylander, who predeceased him) Cynthia Rylander Crossen and Joane Patricia Rylander; Cynthia's husband Kenneth Crossen, their son Jesse Crossen and wife Hope Wilder; Joane's husband Keith Williams; and a large step-family of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren whom he loved very much. A private family service will be held to celebrate his life.
I remember Uncle Clanton in many ways, but the most I remember is his smile. When I think of him it’s always with that smile. Sid Woodring
