Curtis Cantwell

FROM THE FAMILY:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Curtis Cantwell. I am assured that we will be comforted by our memories and our love which is very much alive. Our daddy has left behind 7 children from oldest to youngest: (Harlen, Thomas, Curtis Jr. aka Bubba, Stephanie aka Sissy, Little Stephanie Ann, Little Michelle, and Little Amanda aka Baby Curtis ) Our Daddy loved his children very much, especially his 3 little girls he called his princesses. We may have grown up dirt floor poor but he always made sure we had more than enough food, clothes, and a roof over our heads. Yes our daddy was the real deal when it came to hustling to provide for his family. He even did his best at helping others, and treated his neighbors like kin folk. One or our favorite memories is when Daddy brought people together to build a Church of God, the word of Power. Knowing the place where we all grew up needed it the most and we called this place Mud City. Now that Daddy's life here on earth is over his spirit will live on where the Angels are singing songs of beauty and peace. But knowing our Dad he will put in request for them Angels to sing tunes of Hank Williams and some Johnny Cash ect.. ;) We love you Daddy!!!
I remember Uncle Curtis always would cook you something when you went to his house,he would make us fried bread(Curtis pancakes). He was like a second father to me. Love you Uncle Curtis R.I.P.
I remember Curtis, we lived next door. My sisters and I grew up with his girls. We where all like family. He was very good to us. I remember everytime he went to the store he brought us back candy. Or when we heard the ice cream truck he would buy us all ice cream. He spoiled us rotten like we where his kids too. You will be well missed!
I will miss my Daddy very much!! Life will never be the same without him here with me. He will always be in my memories, and they are endless!
Dear Dad, Thank you for raising us girls, we have so many memories that will never be forgotten! You fed us, clothed us and put money in our pockets and made us feel rich even though we were poor. We never went hungry and neither did our neighbors thanks to you! One of my favorite memories is our family tradition every 1st of the month you would take us to Elgin to eat BBQ and let us girls play at the park. Plus the never ending garage sales we went to lol! You was the best Daddy, I love you and farewell, till we meet again.
To all Dads friends and family members are surely gonna miss seeing him around, his smile, and his love for many. I will miss you Dad!! We are gonna miss his good cook’n and sitting around talking with you. Love you Dad!!
Condolences from the Pat Williams clan. We all grew up on Middle Fiskville Road on the wrecking yard and saw Curtis many times through the years. He never met a stranger and took a liking to all.
Boy oh boy To many memories to pick just one. Curtis showed me how to make hashbrowns and how to flip a egg with a fork on a wood burning stove he didn’t need no frying pan. I thought that was the coolest thing back then. Hell curtis I can barley flip an egg with a spaluta anyway GOOD TIMES CURTIS GOOD TIMES you will be missed greatly Farewell ol man
Rest in Peace Curtis….
