Curtis L. Susong, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Colonial Manor in New Braunfels at the age of 58. Curtis was born on November 1, 1955 in White Pine, TN to George Susong and Alma Blazer Susong. Mr. Susong was currently employed at Western Rail Road as a lead man. He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Susong, and by his father, George Susong. Survivors include his loving wife of 26-years, Elvia Susong; children, Benjamin Susong, Marcelina Hernandez, Anthony Hernandez and wife, Michelle and Cynthia Soto; mother, Alma Susong; sisters, Debbie Susong and Lisa Pratt; brother, Philip Susong; grandchildren, Aaron Albright, Andrew Susong, Jaycee Susong, Jenae Montez, Mariah Hernandez, Tony Hernandez, Joe Ray Sanchez, Mishay Hernandez and Mario Soto. In addition, Curtis is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gerald Nutt officiating. All services will end at the conclusion of the visitation on Thursday evening.

  1. My condolences go to the family of a great man of God, who cared dearly about his family members. Curtis was a great friend, coworker, and mentor. He was a great teacher at what he did. He would always put others first. I will always remember the times when we talked together about our God when times were tough in life. He will be missed.

  4. Sry I didn’t make it to the service.. Curtis was a awesome man.. all my memeories I have of him were in my younger yrs when we all use to gather at berberts house.. good ol days.. RIP big dog… see ya soon..
