Cindy Hill Leissner, 60, of Canyon Lake, TX, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 in New Braunfels, TX. Born on May 3, 1963 in El Paso, Tx, she was the daughter of J.T. Hill and Rita Fields Hill.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Larry Leissner; children Brittany Leissner (Guy Hamilton), Tashina Mendoza; mother Rita Hill, father-in-law Lester Leissner; sisters Jamie Hill Schuetz (Mike Schuetz), Diana Parker (David Parker), Linda Ulloa (Larry Ulloa), Vonnie Snyder (David Snyder); grandchildren, Cameron Hamilton, Cassidy Hamilton, Kaylee Beale, Ava Mendoza, Aiyana Mendoza; fur baby Johnny. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, J.T. Hill; mother in law Dolores Ann Leissner and fur baby Bernie.

Cindy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. When she wasn’t doting on her family she either had her head in a book or her music blaring. Her laughter could fill a room and her huge heart could heal any heart break. She was an avid storyteller and could leave you on the edge of your seat. She always provided a shoulder to lean on, a listening ear, and a warm embrace. If you had the privilege of knowing her, whether it be a lifetime or just a moment, she had a way of leaving a lasting impression. She handled life with grace and was one of the most selfless, thoughtful and authentic people you could meet. Above all of the great qualities she encompassed her most admirable was her strength. She had the soul of a warrior.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Cindy on 4/14/2024 at 2:00 PM at Landa Haus, 360 Aquatic Circle, New Braunfels, TX.

Guestbook

  1. You were a true sister of my heart and I am forever enriched by your love and friendship. I could not have gotten through some of the hardest days of my life without you. I will remember and love you always.

  2. Annette and I send our heart felt condolences, sympathy, and prayers for the Leissner and Hill families.

    • I was with you the day you met Larry at a Unicorn football game. I was honored to be Larry’s best man at your wedding. Ever since you two came together I could tell this was a forever relationship. Your laughter could fill a room and you made everyone feel comfortable. Nanci and I were in shock as Larry shared the news you were slipping away from us. We will always remember your kindness and all the fun times we shared together. Heaven is a much better place and God is fortunate to have you grace the halls of his house.
      We miss you Cindy…..
