It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dale “Hemme” Hemsell, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who departed this world on August 11, 2026, at the age of 90. Dale was born on September 25,1935, in Amarillo, Texas, to Clenon and Helen Hemsell. He is predeceased in death by his parents and his brother, C.C. Hemsell.
Dale is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Cathy Nolte Hemsell and his cherished children, Todd Hemsell and Amy Hemsell. He also embraced his bonus children, Brent Fischer and Deana Fischer with open arms and a loving heart.
Dale attended Pampa High School and later pursued his education at North Texas State University, where he earned his MBA degree while proudly serving in the Marine Reserves for 6 years, His professional journey led him into a successful career in sales, where his dedication earned him numerous accolades throughout the decades.
In 1979, Dale and Cathy united in marriage and made their home in New Braunfels, where Dale’s passion thrived. An avid golfer enthusiast, he found joy on the golf course, sharing countless hours and laughter with his golf buddies. His love for sports mirrored his zest for life. Dale will be remembered for his Hemmieisms.
