Daniel C. Magallanes, Jr., a resident of Seguin, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016 at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center in Seguin at the age of 49. Daniel was born on May 24, 1966 in Seguin to Daniel Magallanes, Sr. and Maria Contreras Magallanes. Daniel was a talented artist and he as well as his artwork will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Magallanes, Sr. in 2013. Survivors include his mother, Maria Magallanes; siblings, Norma Irene Andrade, Rachael Molina and husband, Joaquin, Pete Magallanes, Mary Jane Magallanes and husband, Roberto Moreno and Daniel "Boy" Magallanes. In addition, Daniel is also survived by his step-sisters, Carmen Magallanes and Rosemary Vigil and husband, David. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume from 8:45 am to 9:30 am on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass, which will begin at 9:30 am. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery in Seguin.
