Debra Briseno (February 12, 1957 – November 6, 2024)

Debbie Briseno, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2024. Born to Ruth Leah Slagley and Jesse Madison Moon on February 12, 1957, Debbie spent her life in simplicity and resilience, embodying strength despite the challenges she faced.

Throughout her life, Debbie had a generous heart and a unique spirit. She had a way of finding the simple joy in life. She navigated her journey with courage and humility, traits that left an indelible mark on those who knew her. Although life’s circumstances sometimes kept her at a distance from loved ones, her impact was profound.

Debbie is survived by her children, Thomas Sanders, Jr., Kathy Sanders Smith, Alicia Sanders Grey, and Christopher Sanders, along with her sister Becky Chapman and Tina Newton and brother Toney Moon and her ex-husband, Thomas Sanders, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wilson Chapman and Luis Briseno. Debbie leaves behind memories that will continue to inspire, comfort, and live on in the hearts of her family.

Debbie’s life will be honored with a service, allowing her family and friends a quiet moment to remember her life and spirit.
