Debra Kay Bayless

Debra Kay Solarczyk Bayless was born on November 12, 1965, in New Braunfels, Texas, to Viola and John Solarczyk. She went home to be with her Lord on April 12, 2026, at the age of 60.

She is survived by her two daughters, Leann Marie Bayless Donato and her husband, Steven, and Megan Renee Bayless and her fiancé, Wade Blair. She also leaves behind her longtime partner, Scott Quinton, and Megan’s best friend, Sam Taylor, who was like family to her. Debbie is survived by her three sisters, Elizabeth Law and her husband, Jay, Suzanne Solarczyk, and Laurie Kostantenaco and her husband, Ryan. She was a proud grandmother to Gage, Zoe, and Zeke, and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Viola and John Solarczyk, and her husband, Tommy Bayless.

Debbie spent 40 years working in the grocery business and, at times, took on additional jobs, including waitressing, to provide for her family. She was deeply devoted to her daughters and was always there whenever they needed her, and just as readily for anyone else in need. If Debbie knew your name, she considered you family. She was known for her warm smile, her quick wit, and her ability to make others feel welcomed and cared for.

A service to celebrate Debbie’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church of New Braunfels on April 23 at 3:00 p.m. Feel free to wear shades of blue to honor her favorite color.
