Delfina Mendoza

Delfina Godina Mendoza, 93, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on June 19, 1932, in Fort Stockton, Texas, Delfina lived a life centered on her Catholic faith, family, and devotion to those she loved. She was a devoted wife who shared many happy years of marriage with her beloved husband, Julian Mendoza, until his passing. Together, they built a family that became the pride and joy of her life.

Delfina was known for her kindness, strength, and generous spirit. She found happiness in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she cherished family gatherings and celebrations. Her love, wisdom, and unwavering support touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian Mendoza; her parents, Tomas and Tecla Godina; her brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Minnie Godina; and her sons-in-law, Richard Perez and Stephen Miller.

She is survived by her children: Lydia Perez, Linda (Rey) DeLoera, Lisa Miller, and Elias Mendoza; her grandchildren: Gabrielle (Misa) Ontiveros, Anthony (Christen) Perez, Katlyn (David) Martinez, Paike DeLoera, Caroline Miller, and Catherine Miller; her great-grandchildren: Rosie and Mila Ontiveros, Olivia and Jackson Perez, and Kaden Martinez. She also leaves behind beloved nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law from both the Godina and Mendoza families, all of whom held a special place in her heart, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

Delfina shared a special bond with her beloved husband, Julian. Following his passing in 1990, she never remarried and remained devoted to his memory for the rest of her life. They shared the same birthday, June 19, a unique connection that always held special meaning for them. Her family finds comfort in knowing she has been reunited with Julian and now rests in the peace of Christ, whom she faithfully loved and followed throughout her life.

Delfina’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. A funeral Mass will be held at a later date.

The family is deeply grateful for the prayers, love, support, and expressions of sympathy shared during this difficult time.
