Dennis Anton Ott, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Audie L. Murphy Memorial VA Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 68. Dennis was born on August 21, 1947 in San Antonio to Robert Charles Ott and Aline Real Ott. Mr. Ott served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. During his professional career, Dennis worked as a telephone line installer and welder. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. Dennis was a devoted husband and father and one very proud grandpa. He was preceded in death by son, David Ott; his parents; brothers, Robert Jr. and Allen Ott, and by a sister, Carol Friesenhahn. Survivors include his loving wife, Sherry Ott; children, Barbara Ott-Slaven and husband, Royce Slaven, Dennis Ott, Jr. and Randy Ott and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Zachary and Jenna Slaven, Hailey, Benjamin and Nicholas Ott. In addition, Mr. Ott is survived by a sister, Jeanette Hubertus. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 9:30 am on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Graveside services will follow at 11:30 am at St. Jerome's Cemetery, 7955 Real Rd. Martinez, TX. 78263.
