Domingo Hernandez

Domingo Hernandez, age 79, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2024. Born on September 2, 1945, in New Braunfels, Texas, Domingo was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Domingo worked for Dean Word Company where he spent over 46 years working as a Truck Driver. He was known for his dedication to his work and his passion for 18 wheelers.

Domingo was an avid outdoorsman who loved roosters and barbequing, and spending time with his family at his home in the Country. He was also a talented pool player, oh he loved to bet some money. Most of all you could find him in any convenient store parked in the parking lot scratching lottery tickets, He claimed he was going to win BIG one day.

He is preceded in death by his lovely wife Estella, Sons Alex Rodriguez & Rufino Rodriguez, his parents Manuel & Margarita Hernandez, Brothers Alfredo Hernandez, & Jaime Hernandez & his beloved daughter in law Marybell Hernandez, and grandson Cesar Gomez.

He is survived by his loving children: Margie Soto (Manuel Longoria), Domingo Hernandez, Manuel Hernandez (Eva Hernandez) Genaro Alegria (Josie Alegria) George Rodriguez (Maryjane Rodriguez) Diana Alvarez (Antonio Alvarez) Lisa Jester (Andy Jester) Brother Mario Hernandez & Sister Maria Chapa.
He has 25 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Who loved him dearly he loved each one of them in his special way.

Domingo will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 7:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a procession to follow to Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

The family will like to invite everyone to the reception following the burial at Stonewater Fellowship, 9380 FM 306, New Braunfels, TX 78132.
