    • Dorothy was such a sweet lady. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a blessing in my life. She employed me at Das Shöen Haus in the 80’s. A wonderful mentor.

  1. Dorothy will always be my best friend who stood by me and answered all my health questions, cut my hair for 61 years (got her beautician license between her Junior and Senior year in New Braunfels High School), cut my daughters’ hair when she was my first foster child and for her Wedding, gave my grandson’s their first hair cuts, did my Mother’s hair for many years and even in her casket made her beautiful. She was truly a wonderful “Czech” woman. We always talked about our Czech heritage — making kolaches, pastries, cooking, family recipes, dancing and listening to those wonderful polkas and waltzes, visiting Shiner. Loved talking for hours on the phone about our children and families. She will dearly missed.

  2. My sweet Dorothy. You’ve been a part of my life since I was 4 when you and Ann had the beauty shop. I miss you dearly already as we talked all day long. Don’t know what I’ll do without you now. My condolences to the family. My prayers are with you.

  3. My sincere sympathy for the loss of a wonderful woman. Dorothy did my mother (Hulda Schuetz) hair every Friday during her lifetime. She so generously styled a wig for her funeral. Dorothy was soft spoken and worked very hard throughout her career. May she rest in peace.

  4. I met Dorothy through scrapbooking. She had so much energy that she put the younger scrapbookers to shame. When we had our retreats the first thing we would ask in the morning was “How late did you stay up?” “Wow!”
She was a kind person and a wonderful mother and grandmother. Our scrapbooking group will miss her terribly. My condolences to her family
