Earl Hildebrandt

Earl Emil Hildebrandt, beloved father, died Saturday morning March 22nd, 2025. Earl reached age 85 and passed due to complications of diabetes. Earl grew up in New Berlin, Texas and lived most of his life in central Texas. A Veteran, Earl served four years in the United States Navy. Earl spent his working years as a Civil Servant retiring in 2004 after which he farmed in his spare time. A Lutheran, Earl lived his faith via kind acts of selflessness including the adoption of six children after marrying their mother, Carolyn. He is survived by his sister Hazel Hildebrandt of New Berlin, Texas.

He is also survived by his six adopted children, Cynthia McKenzie of Dover, Ohio; Geno Hildebrandt of West Jefferson, North Carolina; Marieta Hutchison of San Marcos, Texas; Melinda Armbruster of Austin, Texas; Jim Carducci of Ovilla, Texas and John Hildebrandt of Dothan, Alabama. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thank you to John and Michelle Moore, caregivers during his final days.

Services for Earl will be held at Lux Funeral home in New Braunfels, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hope Hospice which cared for Earl with compassion and grace during his final days.
