Eloy R. Cavazos, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Warm Springs Specialty Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 72. Eloy was born on December 23, 1940 in Willacy County, TX to Manuel Cavazos and Leonora Cantu Cavazos. Eloy was a truck driver for most of his professional career. Mr. Cavazos was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lydia Cavazos; daughters, Maria Idalia (Dolly) Sauceda and Deneva Sanchez and by two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Deysi Hernandez; loving children, Sylvia C. Tostado and husband, Joe, Eloy R. Cavazos, Jr. and Benjamin Cavazos; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Hector Cavazos and wife, Lily, Herman Cavazos and George Cavazos and wife, Terry; sisters, Hermelinda and husband, Joe, Elida, Evila and husband, Richard, Esilda and Elva and husband, Epi. In addition, Mr. Cavazos is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, whom he loved very much. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at New Generations Fellowship (Kids Club), 169 S. Hickory in New Braunfels. Mr. Cavazos' cremains will be laid to rest in Sebastian, TX at a later date.
