Ernest A. Arredondo

Ernesto A. Arredondo, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2015 at his residence at the age of 94. Ernesto was born on February 14, 1921 in San Antonio to the late Luciano Arredondo and Guadalupe Alvarado Arredondo. Ernesto served his country proudly during World War II as a rifleman in the United States Army. He later became a clerk typist for the civil service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Alicia; brothers, Edwardo, Luciano, Jr. and Roberto Arredondo. Survivors include his loving wife, Martina Arredondo, whom he married on February 14, 1991 and renewed their vows in 2008 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church here in New Braunfels. In addition, he is also survived by 9 children; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and by a sister, Beatrice Rodriguez. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with military honors is scheduled for 9:30 am on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Ernest I will never forget the kind man you were, and so full of life always. I will always cherish my moments and talks with you. Rest in Peace.
