Ernestina "Tina" Gonzales

Ernestina “Tina” Gonzales went to be with Our Lord and Our Lady on April 18, 2026 at the age of 68. She was born February 2nd, 1958 in New Braunfels, Texas to Reynaldo H. Martinez Sr. and Felice Robledo Martinez.

Tina spent many years as an educator for the New Braunfels school district. She wanted to spend every moment she could with her loving husband. She enjoyed going to bingo where she had many friends. Tina also enjoyed making trips to casinos to play the slot machines especially when accompanied by her family. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful, caring, and strong wife, mother, and grandmother.

Tina was preceded in death by her grandmother Ascencion Robledo, grandmother Petra H Martinez, father Reynaldo H. Martinez Sr, and aunt Gloria Gomez. Also her daughter-in-law, Marie Gonzales, who sadly passed away five days after Tina.

At the time of her death, Tina was survived by her mother Felice Martinez; her devoted husband of 47 years Pedro Gonzales Sr.; sons Pete Gonzales Jr., Rey Gonzales and his wife Megan, Robert Gonzales and his wife Marie; her beloved grandchildren Katelyn, Kasen, and Christian; sisters Dora Vela, Gracie De La Cerda, Janie Gomez, Mary Ayala; brothers Rey Martinez Jr. and Adam Martinez; nephews and nieces Christina, Angelica, Rick, Sara, Amanda, Andrea, Maura, Daniel, Michael, Nicholas and their families.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Friday, May 1st at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 245 S Hidalgo Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130. Services will conclude with the Mass. A bereavement reception will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church hall immediately following the Mass.
