Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Carrie, Frank and Martica, Life’s journey brings special friendships–we will always treasure those years when we were close. The Harold Powers’ Family

  2. Cary, Frank and Martica: I will always remember how he took me through Italy, Spain, Ireland, England, and the Azores. He was very kind. The Ed Kleiss family

  3. My condolences go out to you, Carrie, Martica and Frankie. Earlier this week, on getting onto Ft. Myers and Ft. McNair, here in northern Virginia, I mentioned to the people I was with going onto one of the San Antonio area bases with Frank back in the summer of 2002 so we could eat at the officers’ club. It was supposed to be a 100% ID check and I told Frank I didn’t have any military-related one. As I recall, at the gate he saluted the young security policeman and on we went! I have many other fond memories of him and your mother from our days in Las Palomas. They were both one-of-a-kind, fuera de serie. May many fond memories comfort you while you grieve his loss. Mal

  4. What a blessing it was to know Frank and his family, even for the short time it was! I loved hearing of his adventures, his zest for life and the people he loved. I tried soaking in as much of his knowledge and wisdom as I could. There was a kindness in his eyes that let me know there was much more to this man than he was willing to share. I pray peace and comfort for Cary, Martica, Frankie, and his sister. His eyes absolutely lit up when he spoke of the four of you! I know the memories are sweet…..hold on to them as you walk this new journey. Much Love. Jenn

  5. So many stories we lived and shared with the five of you. We arrived on your street in 1974 – two of us were 3 and 1 year old. We received great assistance from the Currys 80 yards away. The bee story is a great one. Frank and Frankie brought a swarm in the car with them to their back yard from the base. A few Spanish still remember seeing a car stopped at traffic light with bees all over the inside. A queen was ordered and we had a bee colony display on our upstairs patio for a long time. In retirement we visited in San Antonio – now a FB friend of Martica (in my class 42 years ago). Great memories. The Boyds
