At the age of 74 Gary Dale Kiddy’s light left us to be with God
Gary was born on October 26, 1950, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to migrant farmers as the second
of eight children to William Joseph and Emma Jean Kiddy. When Gary was ten years old they
finally settled in Westville, OK, where he ended up graduating from Westville High School.
At 18, he chose to join the United States Army instead of being drafted, serving for nine years.
He survived multiple tours through Vietnam where he earned 2 bronze stars and one silver star
for his heroic service. At the end of his service he became an army chaplain, This led to him
going to seminary school to become a pastor. Eventually he relocated to Houston, Texas, where
he worked for SAIA for over 37 years, primarily as a truck driver.
In November 1996, he embarked on a beautiful journey, marrying the love of his life, Diana Kay.
Together, they seamlessly blended their two families into one vibrant and loving unit, creating a
new chapter filled with joy and unity.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph Kiddy and Emma Jean Kiddy, his
older sister Wilma Allen, and his younger brother Alfred Kiddy. Gary is survived by his wife,
Diana Kiddy, and his daughters: Petrina, Misty, Stormy, Amber and Crystal, along with their
spouses. He leaves behind a legacy of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Gary
will be remembered for his love and devotion to God, family, and friends.
