Gayle Virginia Meyers Gallagher went to be with her beloved daughter Kathy in Heaven on January 28, 2013. Gayle was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 25, 1938 in Utica, NY; middle child of Harold & Janet Meyers. She is a graduate of Utica Free Academy and studied art at Utica College. She married TSgt. Gregory C. Gallagher, USAF, of Hoboken, NJ in 1958 and faithfully supported him as a military wife through his various deployments. Gayle loved country western dancing and anything Disney. Gayle is preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen, her parents Harold & Janet, and her younger sister Kathleen Cunningham. Gayle is survived by her son Gregory V. Gallagher and fiance Sherri Mares of New Braunfels, granddaughters Shannon & Colleen Gallagher of Leander, TX and her older sister Marilyn Blumhagen of Oregon; as well as numerous friends and neighbors. Gayle's love of life will be missed by many. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 2pm at Landa Place Apartments Clubhouse, 860 Landa Street, New Braunfels. In lieu of flowers, Gayle's friends are requesting potluck dishes for Sunday, which would be greatly appreciated.
