Guy Hill Heath Jr.

Guy Hill Heath Jr was born in 1934 in Austin, Texas to Guy Hill Heath Sr and Lois Young Heath. He grew up in Houston and spent many happy childhood summers with family and friends in Kosse and the Texas Hill Country. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1959 and began a 30-year career in the Army that took him across the world from Hawaii to Germany and many places in between. He met and married his wife, Donna, in Germany, and their daughter, Lawryn, was born while he was serving in Vietnam. In 1989, he retired as Deputy Commander of White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico and they went to live in his beloved Texas Hill Country. In New Braunfels, Guy joined the Comal County Sheriff’s Posse and enjoyed a successful team penning career with his horse Chili. He went to join Chili and the loved ones who have preceded him on July 10th, 2026, leaving his family and many friends missing him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Tunnels to Towers.  Graveside services with full military honors rendered by the United States Army are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Friday, July 17, 2026 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
