Harvey G. Schlather

Harvey G. Schlather, 77, of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in San Antonio. Born on December 24, 1936 in New Braunfels, he was the son of the late Louis and Etlka Vogel Schlather. In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Martha Lou Schlather. Harvey is survived by his daughter, Debra Holder and Dan Moody; son, Rodney Schlather and his wife Kindra; grandchildren, Jason, Douglas, Jr., and William Holder, and Rodney, Jr., and Tanner Schlather; brother, Louis Schlather, Jr.; sister, Gloria Traylor. Also surviving are 8 great grandchildren and number cousins, nieces, nephews and various other family members. Harvey was known to most as an avid Spurs fan. A Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00pm on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Lux Chapel. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Gardens. A special thanks goes to Dennis Saur and Alicia Boothe for their devoted care of Harvey.
