Thank you to all our family and friends who have kept us in your prayers. I will always miss my sweet mom. She was my best friend and a model of graciousness, kindness and strength.
It is New Years Day and I was thinking about people who have changed my life and I thought about my minister, Russ Mueller, back in Tempe, AZ. He helped our family in 1976 get into a town house after living in seedy hotels for a month. We ended up being active members of the church, my dad as choir director, us kids in the choir and serving in numerous capacities. Your father’s grace moved our family into a safe place and a community of love. I wanted to share this with your mom and in trying to find her on the internet I discovered she passed away recently. Your family was blessed with two incredible human beings. I am sorry for your loss, but do know their memory lives on. Peace to you all. Dena Wilder (formerly McMurrin).
I have such fond childhood memories of Russ and Helena. It saddens me to find she has also passed, but i am happy she is with Russ again. I so wish I could find pictures of our confirmation class at First Congregational Church, Tempe AZ 1980
