Isaura Valadez Guerrero, 93, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026. She was born on July 9, 1932, in New Braunfels, Texas.
Isaura will be remembered for her deep love and devotion to her family. A strong and compassionate woman, she selflessly cared for those she loved, including her mother and late husband, during times of illness. Her strength and generosity touched many lives.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Isaura loved baking, especially her homemade candies and cookies, playing lotto scratch-offs, visiting casinos, dancing, cheering on the San Antonio Spurs, and enjoying a cold Coca-Cola. She treasured the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Valdez Guerrero; her parents, Antonio and Maria Valadez; her seven siblings, Simon, Ramiro, Antonio, Gustavo, Jesus, Adela, and Josephina; and her niece, Gloria Yandel Wells. She is survived by her daughter, Ana Guerrero Nieto (Armando); her sons, Mario Guerrero, Richard Guerrero (Scott), and David Guerrero (Maria); and her brother, Miguel Valadez (Ana). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Molly Rojas (Julian), Abby Leos, Freddie Leos (Denise), Michael Guerrero (Michele), Julie Guerrero, Oscar Guerrero, and Matthew Guerrero, as well as several beloved great and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Lux Funeral Home in New Braunfels, Texas. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 12:30 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Armando Nieto, Mark Valadez, Julian Rojas, Freddie Leos, Aden Willis, and Ethan Leos.
Isaura’s love, strength, and devotion to her family will be remembered always.
The family respectfully notes that there will be no reception following the services. The family sincerely thanks everyone for their prayers, kind condolences, and support.
