  10. I am sending condolences on behalf of my mother, Elida Sanchez Rodriguez, age 94. Elida, her sister, Sara, Mary, and Isaura were best friends in New Braunfels before they met their husbands. As teenagers, they hung out at Elida and Sara’s house on Comal St. They promised to be bridesmaids in each other’s wedding whenever one of them got married. And so they did. Elida’ husband, Carlos G. Rodriguez, was Oscar’s cousin. Once the young ladies met their future husbands, they all went out together. It is with a heavy heart that Elida wishes to send her condolences to the family and has been missing Isaura all these years. If any of the family members wish to reach out to Elida, I am posting my personal email and I will forward your contact information to her. (I am her daughter, Cathy Rodriguez Avila- cavilasmtx@gmail.com). I remember as a little girl playing in Isaura’s yard while the grownups sat around and talked. God bless the family.
