Jane Elizabeth Carter

Jane Carter, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and resident of Canyon Lake,

Texas, passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 11, 2026, at the

age of 73.

Born in Inglewood, California, to Wayne and Betty Staley, Jane discovered her

lifelong passion for food early on. It was while attending catering school that she

met her soulmate and the love of her life, Robert. The pair married on August 3,

1974, beginning a beautiful 52-year journey built on deep love, mutual respect,

and a shared joy for cooking. In 1982 they bought their first home in Chino Hills,

CA where they resided for 39 years and raised their children before moving to

Texas in 2021.

Jane turned her love of cooking into a rewarding 28-year career as a School

Nutrition Manager with the Chino Unified School District, where she dedicated

herself to nourishing thousands of children until her retirement in 2017. After

Robert retired in 2018, they embraced adventure together, spending years

traveling frequently in their RV.

An exceptional cook and baker, Jane’s kitchen was always the heart of the home.

Her greatest joy was her family, and she poured boundless love into her roles as a

wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jane leaves a legacy of warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. She is survived

by her beloved husband, Robert; their three children, John, Elizabeth, and Carrie;

and their four grandchildren, Breanna, Keira, Ian, and Landon.

A celebration of life and inurnment will be held later. Details, including the date,

time, location, and gathering information, will be shared when available.
