Jerome Wilhelm

April 23, 1942 ~ October 17, 2024
With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Jerome Peter Wilhelm, affectionately known as Jerry, on the 17th day of October in the year of our Lord 2024. He was 82 years of age. Jerry was a resident of Canyon Lake, Texas, and was born on the 23rd of April, 1942, in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Jerry, a man of jovial spirit and kind heart, never encountered a soul he did not befriend. His laughter was contagious to those around him, and his humor a constant source of joy. His passion for the game of golf was surpassed only by the love he held for his family, particularly the times spent with his son, Jerry Jr., on the green, and the pride he took in his grandchildren’s athletic achievements.
Jerry’s legacy is one of unconditional love and the joy he spread to all corners of his world. He will be remembered for his generous nature and the warmth he extended to everyone he met.
He now joins in eternal rest his parents, his brother John, and his beloved daughters, Deborah Wilhelm and Terri Yeunger.
Left to honor Jerry’s memory are his wife of nearly four decades, Cathy, a testament to their undying love; his sister Judy Cantalamessa and her husband Joe; his son Jerome Wilhelm with his wife Jackie; his daughter Tammy Huff and her husband Michael; his son Shawn Elsbernd with his wife Glenda; and his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
In deference to Jerry’s memory, the family suggests that those wishing to express condolences consider a donation to Gentiva Hospice, whose compassionate care was of great comfort to Jerry in his final days. The family extends their deepest appreciation for the tenderness and respect afforded to Jerry during his last chapter. Your contributions in his name will continue the legacy of care that he so richly deserved.
In accordance with Jerry’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
Love you so much grandpa, and im going to miss you so much
All of my memories from my bestie sleepovers in high school with Tammy include the little pizza place at the lake owned by Jerry and Cathy. I loved “working” there and becoming part of your family. I am so sorry he is gone but know how proud he will be watching you all from above. All my love and prayers as you go through this difficult grief journey.
RIP, Mr. Jerry

My brother was the jokester in the family. He loved to make people laugh. He also loved teasing me a lot being his little sister by 5 years. But I knew how to retaliate by telling Mom and Dad! I will miss you and our other brother and know you are living it up with the family Love and miss you
