Jerry Wayne Hicks

We celebrate the life of Jerry Wayne Hicks, a resident of Spring Branch, TX, who entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on August 8, 2026, at the age of 68.

Jerry was born on August 10, 1957, in Houston, TX, to the late L.D. Hicks and Mary Katherine Broyles Hicks. Throughout his professional career, Jerry worked in both the Nuclear and Oil & Gas industries, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Lori Lorati; son, Cody (Kaitlin) Hicks; cherished grandchildren, Brice, Easton, and Harper; sisters, Donna (Vance) Stevens, Lana Elliott, and Rhonda Hicks; brother, Gary (Joyce) Hicks; nephew, Jason (Katy) Hicks; nieces, Taylor Reyna and Tristan (Cody) Thornhill; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and was always ready to talk about a hunting trip or the latest home project he was working on.  Jerry never hesitated to lend a hand to someone in need and was generous with both his time and his talents. Whether ending a phone call or saying goodbye after a visit, Jerry always made sure you knew how much he loved you.  He also treasured the companionship of his beloved dogs, Angel and Texi.

At the heart of Jerry’s life was his unwavering faith and deep love for Jesus Christ. As a member of Solomon’s Porch Ministries in New Braunfels, TX, he lived out his faith through kindness, generosity, and a heartfelt desire to help others. His legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
