Jose Eduardo Rosales, 26, passed away on June 10, 2026 in New Braunfels, Texas.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 30, 2000, to Rogelio Rosales and Laura Salazar.

Jose was raised in San Antonio as a child and later moved to New Braunfels to be closer to family. He was full of boundless energy and brought excitement and laughter wherever he went. Like many boys at that age, he loved toy cars and asking people for money so he could buy more toys. Jose faced many hardships growing up but always maintained a positive attitude. He was well known in his family to have a smiling face when challenges arose. Jose graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2018 and moved to McQueeney with his mom. He enjoyed playing video games like Overwatch and listening to early 2000s rock and songs by Drake. Jose was a homebody who found great joy in creating a warm welcoming home, especially by decorating the living room for family and guests to enjoy. His presence brought joy to many, and he will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Jose is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents and God Parents, Mary E. Montez and Trinidad Montez; and paternal grandmothers, Luisa Rosales and Juana Rosales.

He is survived by his parents, Rogelio Rosales (Mirna Rosales) and Laura Salazar (Manuel Valero); siblings, Manuel Unzueta, Pedro Unzueta, Analusia Rosales, Annie Montoya, Alex Montoya, and Jose Alfredo Montoya Jr.; grandparents, Jose Rosales, Roberto Salazar, and Yolanda M. Salazar; aunts, Maria Elena Sanchez, Gloria Rosales, Dolores Rosales, Lourdes Rosales, and Norma Rosales; uncles, Jorge Montez, Jose Louis Montez, Jerez Salazar, Marco Salazar, Moises Rosales, and Jose Eduardo Rosales; and nephew, Isaiah Unzueta. He also is survived by many cousins.

  1. Jose, even though we didn’t speak much, I will always remember your smile. You were ,( are ) your mama’s baby boy. We had some good conversations about you. You’ll always be in my thoughts especially when I talk to your mama. You were a special young man. May you rest in peace. Your friend Maria R.
