Jose M. Esquivel, Sr., passed away at the age of 69 on July 10, 2023 surrounded by his family. Jose was born on October 25, 1953 in New Braunfels, TX, to Simon Esquivel, Sr., and Isabel Rodriguez Esquivel.
Jose’s biggest pride and joy in life was his grandchildren and they all agree that he was the best Grandpa. His kids and grandkids were his world and he enjoyed spending time with his family as often as he could. He also had many joys in life including spending time outdoors, tending to his garden, caring for his chickens and roosters, and painting model cars.
Jose is survived by his children, son Jose M. Esquivel, Jr., daughters Monica M. Cantu (Adolfo), Alexandria Esquivel, and his beloved grandchildren Alexis Cantu, Lauren Cantu, Emily Cantu & Gabriel Esquivel, in addition to siblings Veronica Perez, Evangelina Rogers, Adriana Gaytan, Marissa Esquivel, Simon Esquivel, and George Esquivel. Jose was preceded in death by his parents Simon Esquivel, Sr., and Isabel Rodriguez Esquivel and brothers Orlando Esquivel, Javier Esquivel, and Domingo Esquivel.
