Jose (Paco) Angel Robledo, Sr, age 83, passed away surrounded by loving family on
August 7, 2023, at his home in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born on January 27, 1940 in Seguin, Texas to Adolfo Robledo, Sr and Acencion Aparicio. He married Victoria Ledesma in the Salt Lake City Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah on June 9, 1963, together they raised six children.
Jose was raised in and around New Braunfels, Texas and would later serve an approximate 20 month Service Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the San Antonio – McAllen, Texas region. His assignment was to construct chapels of worship. As a person and as member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Jose was loyal in assignments and callings brought to him. His associates enjoyed his company and he theirs. He made friends wherever he found himself. He did it by the respect he showed and the commitments he kept. He worked for a variety of organizations and eventually worked for the street department of the City of New Braunfels Texas. He rose through the ranks while employed with the city and attained the position of City of New Braunfels Street Superintendent.
As a hobby, he enjoyed fishing and he found joy in visiting with his siblings, his children and especially his grandchildren.
Jose is survived by his children; Jose Angel Robledo, Jr, Sarah Robledo (Pipper), Jose
Carlos Robledo, Ruth Robledo (Talamantez), Laura Robledo (Etter) and Jose Miguel Robledo. He is also survived by brothers Marcelino Robledo, Adolfo Robledo, Jr. and his sister Felis Robledo (Martinez). Plus many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Victoria Ledesma, his brothers Silviano Ruiz, Preciliano Robledo, Juan Robledo and Gloria Robledo (Gomez).
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM at The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, 1390 Hanz Dr, New Braunfels, TX 78131. A luncheon will occur directly after the memorial service. There will be no viewing.
