Josefina Gomez Peters

March 16, 1953 ~ August 21, 2015
On the 21st day of August 2015, Josefina Peters was called to be with our Heavenly father at the age of 62. Josie was born on March 16, 1953 in New Braunfels, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Larry W. Peters; daughter, Mary Ann Nunez and husband Hector; sons, Miguel Perez IV and Cindy, Randall Perez and wife Jacqueline; four grandchildren, Neriah, Nathan, Julia, and Lacey Nunez; mother, Juanita Gomez; siblings, and numerous nieces and nephew. Josie, above all, was a devoted Christian, loving wife, amazing mother, caring daughter, sister, and a compassionate friend, who will be immensely missed by all. She loved attending church, singing, dancing, family quality time, and she especially loved to laugh. Josie impacted the lives of many by fulfilling God's mission proclaiming her love for Christ, whether she knew them or not. Being the true Prayer Warrior she was, she held onto God's promises according to the gospel. She always encouraged everyone she loved to "Trust in Jesus". We all look forward to the day when our family reunites with her at the Lord's Golden Gates in the sky. "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."-John 8:12. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 9:00PM on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00AM on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.

My sincere sympathy to everyone. I will miss Josie so much. I will miss the way she made me laugh, the advice she would always give me. And especially the friendship that she gave me. She was a beautiful person inside and out. And I was truly blessed to have her in my life. Rest in peace my friend. Until we meet in heaven.
