Joyce Donnette May, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home at the age of 71. Joyce was born on July 27, 1944 in Fort Worth, TX to the late Henry D. May and Lorenza Garretson Miller. She was a licensed vocational nurse for most of her professional career. Survivors include her son, John Fielder of New Braunfels; daughters, Amanda Pace of New Braunfels and Patricia Fielder of Schertz; aunt, Opal Brever of New Braunfels; grandson, Torin Fielder of Roscommon, Ireland; granddaughter, Shelby Fletcher of Schertz; siblings, Lance May, Jeff and Margaret May and Deborah May of Mexia, TX; nephew, Francis Hidalgo of Houston and nieces, Leota Hidalgo of Cibolo, Sarah Beth May of Houston and Carin May of Mexia, TX. Per Ms. May's wishes, her remains will be cremated.
