Juan Emilio Ozuna, Jr., 55, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2026, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Born on September 21, 1970, in New Braunfels to Juan and Mary Ozuna, Juan was a lifelong member of the community he loved. He attended New Braunfels High School and spent many years working as a contractor, where he was known for his craftsmanship, strong work ethic, and ability to bring custom projects to life for countless clients throughout the area.

Juan enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and the company of those around him. He loved attending concerts to watch his favorite bands, cheering on San Antonio FC at soccer matches, and spending quality time with friends and family. In his younger years, he could often be found along the Comal River, escaping the Texas heat and making memories at the Float In with lifelong friends.

Juan will be remembered for his kind heart, easygoing spirit, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. His presence, laughter, and love for those around him will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Juan & Mary Ozuna, brother, Albert Ozuna, sister Amanda Fite, brother in law, Cory Fite, faithful dog, Roscoe and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Emilio & Maria Ozuna and Albert & Brunilda McKinnis.

A recitation of the Holy Rosary is scheduled for Sunday, June 7th at 7pm at Lux Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday, June 8th at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in New Braunfels, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hope Hospice New Braunfels.

  1. I met Juan almost 50 years ago in first grade at Sts Peter & Paul. We were instant friends. He always had a smile and uplifting spirit. I lost touch but reconnected many many years later. He did not forget me. He will always be a part of that special group of classmates and memories. I am very sad to hear of his passing. May he enjoy the Light of eternal life. I will not forget him.
