Juan C. "Patches" Quinonez age 50, gained his wings on Tuesday, October 11,2022 at Resolute Hospital after a long fight with cancer. Juan was born on July 10, 1972 in San Antonio, Texas to Cruz and Juanita Quinonez. Juan was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Julio Quinonez. Survivors include wife, Alicia Valadez Quinonez; children Alyssa McDonald, Emily Quinonez, Eliza Quinonez, and Julian Quinonez; grandchildren, Carson McDonald, Cason McDonald, and Evan Quinonez; sister, Becky Martinez(Leroy); and brother, David Gonzalez (Sonia). Juan is also survived by his in-laws the Valadez, Mendez, Ates families, nieces, nephews and his dog Rocky. Juan had a big heart and lived for his family and friends. He enjoyed family gatherings, barbecuing, drinking his beer while listening to music. Especially his job and going to work. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Service to begin at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel.

  3. My dearest friend, I heard of the news this morning and was wondering why I hadn’t heard from you in a while. You would send messages on Messenger every few months just to check in. “Hey there friend. Hope you’re doing well.” I’m going to miss that. I’ve been in tears since I found out of your passing.

    Juan and I go back a long time. Hell, 20+ years. I remember your Dodge truck! When we used to just go cruising and jamming to freestyle music, LOL! OH friend! Fun times!

    I’m definitely drinking a few beers for you this evening! I will miss you tremendously!
    You’re pain free now, love! Give my grandparents a great big hug for me!
