Judy Elizabeth (Collins) Ermis

Judy Elizabeth (Collins) Ermis, age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, December 16th, 2022 in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born November 9th, 1950 in El Paso, Texas to Adam and Viola “Kay” (Hamer) Collins. She was a graduate of Seguin High School, attended the University of Texas at Austin. She worked for many years at Guadalupe Valley Hospital and Christus Santa Rosa Hospital (formally McKenna) as an insurance verification specialists. Her true passion was family. She enjoyed catching up with friends and family, hosting holidays, garage sales, reading a good book, watching her Texas Longhorns play football and of course watching her favorite westerns on TV. Judy will be remembered for her compassion for others, quick wit and humor. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ermis; one sister, Kay (Collins) Friese; two brothers, Joe Collins and Dan (wife Amanda) Collins; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Family, friends, and others whose lives Judy touched are invited to the First United Methodist Church of New Braunfels, 572 West San Antonio St, New Braunfels, at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 14th, 2023 to celebrate her, reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, just chat.

Judy and I met at SHS our junuor year, But I really Got to know her when she went to work at GVH was smart, clever,kind ,and very loyal friend
Judy save Darrell and Susie’s weddings the recipient was put side in our yard when wind and rain came thur a d blow the tent down shegot it up and had the wedding cake looking great my the time the wedding party got there. Our greatest is heaven great gained.
