Lisa Ann Hadlock passed from this life into the arms of Jesus and everlasting life after a hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 62 in New Braunfels, TX on August 7, 2016. She was born in Vernal, Utah on July 25, 1954, the sixth child of Kenneth and Sarah Velda Hadlock. Her family moved to Texas when she was ten years of age and she became a proud Texan. She was a gifted artist, a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. She attained much success in life and always said that her children were her greatest accomplishment. After completing her education and earning her Master's degree, she went to work for the U.S. Government and spend her entire career at Randolph Air Force base where she was a dedicated employee of 20 years at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Hadlock and her brothers, Bruce and Bret Hadlock. She is survived by her mother, Sarah Velda Hadlock; her daughters, Sarah Cockrell, Samantha Hadlock and her fiancee Joe Howze; three treasured grandchildren, Jane, Asher and Drew; sisters, Kenna Luck and Charlotte Zachary; brother, Lonney Hadlock and his wife Marlianne; and sister-in-law, Cindy Hadlock. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins that she adored. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank all of her doctors, nurses and caring staff at Cancer Care Center and Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. A visitation will be held at the Lux Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

  3. I worked with Lisa for a few years at AETC and cherished those times with her. She had such a sweet heart and absolutely adored her family! Know that she is resting in the eternal arms of our Heavenly Father! I just lost my dad a couple of weeks ago, so I share in your family’s pain. The best thing I can tell you is when the pain feels overwhelming, think of a time when you remember her laughing and loving life. That and my faith have been the only things that have gotten me through this time. I know that Lisa loved you all very much! Take care and know that you have my prayers! <3

  4. I didn’t know Lisa long but we talked for hours the first time we met. I am going to miss our conversations. She was a good friend. My prayers go out to all her family.
