Liska Scott Lyons

Liska Scott Lyons, age 74, was called home to be with her Lord on June 29, 2023.  She was born in San Angelo, TX, and grew up between Pasadena, TX, and Alpine, TX. Liska was preceded in death by her parents, Robert R. Lyons and Liska Benge, one sister “Gaga”, and her only child, a son, Robert ‘Renn’ Rennie Burling, who predeceased her in 2021.  

As a single mom, Liska devoted her love and energies to the growth and success of her son Renn, and his family.  In pursuit of Renn’s “proper” upbringing, she spent most of her career working for Arco Petroleum in Pasadena, TX, and later worked for Home Depot in Pasadena, Bulverde, and New Braunfels.

Liska had a very strong faith in the lord; she lived well and was well-loved by her many life-long friends; she will truly be missed.   

Liska is survived by three grandchildren, Geneva, Griffin, and Gavin.  A Celebration of Life is planned for later this summer in Canyon Lake, TX.
