Manlio Flavio Tristan, Sr.

Manlio Flavio Tristan, Sr., a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in San Antonio at the age of 71. Flavio was born on May 7, 1941 in Monterrey, Mexico to Antonio Tristan and Guadalupe Arizpe Tristan. He later married Francesca Alejos Tristan, who preceded Flavio in death in February of 1992. Flavio was a long-time welder, having worked for both Simons and Dean Word in New Braunfels. In addition, he loved animals, especially his pet Chihuahua, Bruiser. Flavio was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons, Sammy and Christopher Tristan and brother, Manuel de Jesus Tristan. Survivors include his sons, Bobby Tristan and wife, Julisa and Sammy Tristan and wife, Chrissy; daughter, Rachel Johnson; grandchildren, Bobby, Jr., Xavier, Samuel, Jr., Cecily F. Tristan and Frances Johnson; brothers, Juan Tristan, twin brother, Antonio Tristan and Rene Tristan; sisters, Maria "Nena" Carmona, Guadalupe Torres, Olga Hernandez, Blanca Sanchez and Rosemary Martinez. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, November 29, 2012 with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM, all of which will be held at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass, which begins at 1:00 PM. All services will end at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass. Please note: there will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church on Friday afternoon. All wishing to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass on Friday are asked to meet at the church at 12:00 PM.
