Maricela Garza Lo Nigro

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maricela Garza LoNigro, passed away on September 10th, 2024 at the age of 74. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Carmelo LoNigro Sr. her twin sister, Marina Garza Bolger; and her parents, Mariano and Maria Luisa Garza.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria (Connie) LoNigro Johnson, and sons, Carmelo LoNigro Jr and Vincent LoNigro as well as her “adopted daughters” Destiny Casada and Hope Rhodes.

She is also survived by her grandchildren; Zoey LoNigro, August Johnson, Leif Johnson, Derek Johnson, Seth Johnson, Kyrios LoNigro, Brianna LoNigro, Abriella LoNigro and Sophia Casada. And, also survived by great-grandchildren, Ilyana Genevieve, Veronica Isabel, Penelope Rose and Ezra Ricardo.
Maricela is also survived by her best-friend, her “corazon” Dora Whitaker and her husband Tom.

Maricela shared her husband’s love of soccer and would be the loudest cheerleader at her children’s and grandchildren’s games. She also loved to crochet beautiful blankets, and would always be working on a handmade gift for one of her loved ones.

Her family will greatly miss her.
