Marilyn J Holcomb passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 90. Born on July 23, 1933 in Gering, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late John Heinrich and Mary Badel Heinrich.

Marilyn married her husband Robert “Bob” Holcomb on September 27, 1953. During their marriage they lived in North Platte, NE, Casper, WY, & Victoria, TX.

Marilyn enjoyed reading, knitting and sewing. She was a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing for family & friends. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister as well as for her strength, independence, and generosity.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters Tanya Kendall (Bob) of Denver, CO, and Kristy Schledewitz (Steve) of New Braunfels, TX, granddaughters Amy Castillo ( Ruben), Nicole Jerngian (Michael) , and Ramie Kendall. Marilyn was also great-grandmother to Holden, Brooks, Jeslyn, Corbin, and Colton. She is also survived by her sister Sharon Davis of Great Falls, MT.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Holcomb, and brother, Arden Heinrich.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her late husband. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marilyn’s name to Hope Hospice in New Braunfels
