After months of failing health, he died peacefully in his home in Wimberley, Texas with his beloved wife of 42 years, Candy by his side. Pete was born in Longview, Texas on March 22nd, 1940 to Otis and Maxine Farris. His adolescent years were spent in White Oak, Texas with his extended family where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing sports. He graduated from Victoria High School and went on to attend Victoria Junior College. As a proud patriot, he served with the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War. After retiring and moving to Wimberley, Texas he dedicated time to serve his community as a 4th degree Knights of Columbus and proud member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. His enthusiastic storytelling will always be remembered by his 4 children, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, who adoringly shared in his light.
