  3. Dad, although we didn’t always agree on things, I have always loved you! Our fishing and camping trips, our swimming holes, being your assistant when you were a Naval Recruiter was the best. I still have the letter you sent me from the last ship you were on The USS New Jersey! I will miss you, you arnery old cus!πŸ’ž Your Daughter Vera May.

    • Love you Aunt V. Sure going to miss that old cus. Loved working on cars, tractors, and pickup trucks with him. Always kept me on my toes. He sure did like getting people shocked, with all manner of stuff from distributor caps on cars to grandma’s washing machine out in the garage.

  4. My great grandfather was a man of many talents and was always a hard worker. Though I don’t have many memories of him those attributes were definitely impressionable from the few times that I did meet him. He will be deeply missed.

    We had many good times together our
    Dad showed me how to work on Automobiles Dad showed me how to brick lay how to rock lay how to make a camp fire. An how to stand up for myself . He could be very mean at times but very nice also .
    He will be missed Our Dad was one of a kind . I will always remember our little times together at the beer joint’s also good music good people to talk to and playing pool
    Dad and Mom y’all get to Dance together forever now.
    Dad watch over us with Mom in your arm’s. I will miss you.

  6. Dear Family,

    Marvin will be deeply missed by many. He lived life with such intelligence, adventurous courage and spirited personality that made him an interesting person to know. As the eldest daughter, Vera May was instrumental in taking care of her siblings while both parents worked at Mission Valley Mills. Her dedication and love show through every act of cooking, cleaning, and tucking them into bed. Dad’s memories will forever remain embedded in our hearts.
