Mary Geraldine Allen
June 16, 1924 ~ April 15, 2013
Geraldine Allen passed peacefully to the waiting arms of Jesus Christ on
Monday, April 15, 2013. She had been residing at Collinwood Rehab Center
in Plano, Texas, near her daughter's residence.
The last of nine children, Mary Geraldine Stephens was born on June 16,
1924 to Pinkney Lee and Minnie Grant Stephens in Lockhart, Texas.
She married Roy Jackson Allen, October 5, 1940 and spent her life as a
loving homemaker. Both were lifetime members of the VFW in New Braunfels.
She and Roy had 3 children, Dennis, Roger, and Sharon. She was preceded
in death by all her siblings, son Dennis, and husband Roy. She is
survived by daughter, Sharon and husband Ron Sutcliffe; son, Roger and
wife Mary Annis; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on from 5:00pm until 7:00p.m. on Friday, April 19th, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

My sincere condolences to the Allen family. I just found out about Mimi’s going to be with The Lord. I think about her and Dadaw often and I know without a doubt that Mimi and Dadaw are both with our Heavenly Father. Mimi and Dadaw are both beautiful people and will always be in my heart. I always remember Mimi when I make her broccoli casserole recipe at Thanksgiving. I also remember her Earthquake cake – which I tried to make a few times and turned out looking like an earthquake in my oven. I could never get that recipe quite right. Thank you for all these fond memories. I love you all. Thank You for sharing such beautiful people with me. God Bless You!!!
